New Cruiser: Expeditions

The travels of an all aluminum Land Cruiser and its owners…

Welcome to New Cruiser: Expeditions

We are a 30-something Canadian couple with a passion for travelling and exploring. We designed and built our all-aluminum Land Cruiser and officially put it on the road in 2002. Since then, we have completed a number of small and large expeditions with the truck ... with more planned for the future! This site documents the New Cruiser's construction, equipment and modifications, as well as our travels.

First Time Here?

Welcome and thanks for coming. If you saw the truck driving around somewhere and want to know more, then look at the Truck on the right navigation pane. If you want to keep track of our travels or read about our past adventures, click on the Expeditions link.

Robin and Raenelle. Robin & Raenelle live in Vancouver, British Columbia. Robin is a civil engineer and Raenelle is a biologist. For us, life is a balance between pursuing our careers at home, and exploring the world during extended time off. Our travel interests include: connecting with local people; exploring remote places; relaxing on deserted beaches; local cuisine; wildlife and ecosystems; photography; and generally taking the road less travelled. Robin seldom travels without his hammock. Raenelle seldom travels without her binoculars.
