El Aguacatal, Yucatan, Mexico

In the morning, we said goodbye and gave the kids a ride into San Cristobal to school. We went to an internet/phone place and organized with Noreen (Raenelle’s mom) for her to come down and meet us in Mexico. She is flying into Cancun and we will drive up there to meet her in a few days. We spent the rest of the day driving towards the Yucatan peninsula where we’ll spend the next few days exploring. We drove till late and then camped in a field behind the local gas station in El Aguacatal (our most unexciting and sketchy camping spot so far on this trip!). We found a little shop near the gas station where Robin was able to make a steel bracket to fix a joint on our roofrack which had cracked and come apart.
