We arrived in Oregon late in the evening, and set off early the following morning. We travelled up through the eastern region of Oregon which took us past many large lakes, mountains and sparse forests. Most of the region was covered in snow and it was really beautiful. We travelled through central Washington state and made our way to Seattle where we are currently visiting Rose and Pat for a day or so. We’ll be back in Vancouver on Friday, January 23rd, and that will officially mark the end of our travels … at least for now. We’ve had the most amazing experiences on this trip – met wonderful people, seen far-off places, done lots of thinking, challenged ourselves in many ways, have learned a bundle, and have opened our eyes a little wider to the important things in life. We’ve had the opportunity to experience one little part of this big, wonderful, integrated planet on which we live, and it has contributed to the way in which we view the world and our place in it. We hope our family, friends and visitors to this site have found our stories interesting and useful. We highly recommend a trip like this for anyone with an adventurous and inquiring spirit, and if we can be of any assistance in this endeavour, please feel free to contact us. But remember that although we may travel to the same physical places in this world, each journey is unique and the path that you take is yours and yours alone ….
